ABOUT ME

I am an Eritrean-American social media producer and writer based in Los Angeles.

Currently, working at Entertainment Weekly on the social media team. While I love to talk about and cover pop culture every day, I started my career covering the LGBTQ community. First, working at New York’s LGBTQ film festival NewFest and then joining the team that launched NBC News’ LGBTQ vertical NBC Out in June 2016. Over the last 5 years, I have worked for arts organizations and major news corporations, building niche audiences, and managing social media accounts with millions of followers. My byline also appears at NBC BLK, NBC Latino, and Inverse.

Great storytelling is my primary motivation. Whether it is film, TV, books, music, or podcasts, I am always ready to write about, talk about, or create a compelling story.
