Alamin is the epitome of a team player: passionate, flexible, supportive, creative, cool under pressure, and, above all, an absolute pleasure to work with. I am most impressed by how he takes ownership of every task in front of him – from writing and reporting to crafting social posts to producing videos to overseeing month-long special feature roll-outs – and works consistently to improve content to connect with the right audiences. Alamin also actively seeks out ways to improve his own skills and gain new ones to contribute to the quality and range of content he produces. He is able to tackle any subject matter, but especially shines at entertainment content.

Alamin has a unique combination of talent, drive, passion and humility. I first noticed this combo when we volunteered together at NewFest, which produces the annual NY LGBTQ Film Festival, and it’s the reason I asked him to help me launch NBC OUT, NBC News’ LGBTQ website. His ability to write articles, produce videos and simultaneously manage multiple social media platforms has been crucial to the success of our site. He’s also an idea generator, consistently pitching story ideas and broader social and digital initiatives.
